Description
A Dick Wright hybrid of uncertain parentage (ooh, mystery!), what really tips the scales in the favor of this echeveria is the striking red blush that visits the tips of its leaves. That's "striking" in appearance only, as the tips of Echeveria ‘Tippy’ are “spinose tips” — soft, harmless “spine-like” leaf tips. E. 'Tippy' forms low rosettes to 6" in diameter composed of silvery aqua lanceolate leaves with prominent rose spinose tips (many Echeverias have a characteristic known as “spinose tips”, which are the soft, harmless “spine-like” tips at the end of the leaves). Hummingbirds love the bell-shaped flowers orange flowers. Excellent for windowsill culture or in the rock garden.
